Step into the heart of Florida heritage at the Annual Kumquat Festival®, where quirky meets quaint in the most delicious way! Hosted by the Greater East Pasco Chamber of Commerce, this one-of-a-kind event celebrates the charm, flavors, and family-friendly spirit of our community.

Every year, thousands of people come together for one incredible day filled with fun, flavor, and family memories at the heart of our charming downtown. With over 300 vendors and sponsors, our streets come alive with activity, creativity, and the unmistakable citrusy charm of Pasco County’s beloved kumquat!

Taste the Kumquat Craze – Wondering what a kumquat tastes like? You'll find it here, from pies and cookies to smoothies, ice cream, marmalade, jams, donuts, craft beer, sangria, gin, pet treats, soap, candles, salsa, and of course fresh kumquats — there's something for every craving.

Quilt Challenge – 2026 Exhibit – See the creativity on full display at the Historic Pasco County Courthouse, where stunning quilts inspired by kumquats and community are showcased during the festival.

Why Kumquats?

The Kumquat Festival® began as a fun, fresh way to spotlight the unique flavor of Dade City. With nearby St. Joseph known as the “Kumquat Capital of the World,” the Chamber, along with local kumquat families and growers turned this tiny, tangy fruit into the star of a unique annual family tradition.

Since then, the festival has grown into a flagship event that brings locals and visitors together for a joyful day of community, culture, and citrusy celebration.

The celebration doesn't start on Festival Day — it begins long before! Here's how you can get into the spirit of the Kumquat Festival® and experience all the charm that Downtown Dade City has to offer.

🚗 First Saturday of January: Dade City Cruise-In

Kick off the new year with one of our favorite local traditions — the Dade City Cruise-In! Classic cars, friendly faces, open shops, and great local eats make this event the perfect preview of what’s to come later in the month.

🛍️ Shop, Dine & Discover – Our local downtown shops and restaurants are filled with unique gifts, boutique finds, and amazing food. As you stroll through downtown in the weeks leading up to the festival, you’ll get a small taste of what makes our city so special — and why you won’t want to miss the big day on January 31.

🌱 Kumquat Growers Open House – January 29 & 30, 2026

Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the famous Kumquat Growers, where you can:

Tour the packing house
Walk through the groves
Learn the story behind this tiny but mighty fruit
