Skills That Pay Bootcamp

Skills That Pay the Bills is a free, interactive curriculum developed by the U.S. Department of Labor to help youth and young adults build essential workplace readiness skills. Designed for ages 14–21, the course focuses on six key areas: communication, enthusiasm and attitude, teamwork, networking, problem solving and critical thinking, and professionalism. Ideal for educators, workforce professionals, and youth programs, the curriculum includes engaging activities that promote real-world application. Whether used in the classroom, workshops, or mentoring sessions, Skills That Pay the Bills equips young people with the soft skills employers value most in today’s competitive job market.

The East Pasco Chamber Foundation will use this program for area youth to give them an extra advantage for their own career paths by selecting area community leaders as the facilitators for each of the six key areas.
