Citizen of the Month
Event Information
Each month during the school year, the East Pasco Chamber of Commerce honors 11 students from Dade City and 10 from Zephyrhills at its Citizen of the Month ceremony. Selected by their school’s teachers and administrators, these students are recognized for their outstanding effort, achievement, and contributions to their school, family, and community. The Chamber has proudly celebrated student citizens through this program for over 26 years.
At the monthly breakfast event, honorees receive certificates of achievement, medallions, and letters of commendation from local and state officials, acknowledging their accomplishments and leadership. Students and their families enjoy breakfast and are presented with a variety of gifts generously donated by local business sponsors. Each student is invited on stage for a brief interview, and parents and teachers are welcome to share words of encouragement. Our student citizens always leave with smiles—and bags filled with thoughtful “goodies” from our chamber partners.

Sponsorship Information
Chamber members wishing to support this important program are invited to do so through one of the following ways:
Become an "Foundation Sponsor": For $500 per academic year, you are invited to attend each ceremony. Your company will be recognized at the ceremony as a Sponsor in the program and in chamber newsletter. Monetary donations support the monthly ceremony, and the foundation scholarship fund.
Become a “In the Bag Donor”: Trendy school supplies, movie passes, event tickets, books, or a gift certificate from your or your fellow chamber members’ restaurant or retail outlet. These are just a few examples of ways you can support our students. You are invited to attend a ceremony and are mentioned in the program and in chamber newsletter as a Foundation Donor.
*Each month, twenty-one children will be honored at the breakfast. It would be desirable to have your commitment for all 9 ceremonies: a total of 170 children.
